Is your New Zealand Immigration Adviser Licenced??

From 4 May 2010 people providing New Zealand immigration advice offshore must be licensed, unless they are exempt from licensing. Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has been accepting any applications from unlicensed advisers after close of business (local time)on 3 May 2010.
If you are receiving advice from an immigration adviser about an application (or possible application) for a visa or permit, you can check whether they are licensed at www.iaa.govt.nz.
Arunima Dhingra, Director AIMS GLOBAL is a licenced immigration adviser and is also certified in Immigration Law and Practice by Massey University. She specialises in student visas, work visas, permanet residence visas including skilled migrant residence, family categories and appeals etc.
If your adviser is not licensed or exempt, and your application has not yet been sent to INZ, you can request the adviser stops work on your application and returns your documents to you. You can then transfer your application to Arunima who is a licensed immigration adviser registered with the Immigration Advisers Authority, or to an adviser who is exempt from licensing.

Post Study workers in the UK
The Tier 1 (Post-study work) category allows the UK to retain the most able international graduates who have studied there. It also enhances the UK's overall offer to international students.
During their permission to stay in UK, post-study workers can look for work without needing to have a sponsor. The category provides a bridge to highly skilled or skilled work. The intention is that the applicant will switch into another tier of the points-based system as soon as he/she can, once granted permission to stay as a post worker.
Who can apply as a post-study worker?
You can apply under Tier 1 (Post-study work) if you are: in the UK with permission to stay under the Science and Engineering Graduates Scheme, the International Graduates Scheme or the Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland Scheme; or in the UK as a student (which includes students, student nurses, students resitting examinations and students writing up a thesis). |
Tier 4 changes for education providers and migrant students - UK

Education providers who hold a standard Tier 4 sponsor licence can only offer courses at or above NQF level 4 or equivalent. And they cannot offer courses that include work placements unless those courses are degree-level courses or foundation degrees.
(A foundation degree is a programme of study which leads to a qualification awarded at a minimum of level 5 on the revised National Qualifications Framework by an English higher education institution with degree-awarding powers, or awarded on a directly equivalent basis in the devolved administrations. In Scotland, a Higher National Diploma at Level 8 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework is equivalent to a foundation degree).
If a student is studying a restricted course at an institution that does not hold a Highly Trusted sponsor licence, they can continue to study at that institution until they complete their course of study or their permission to stay under Tier 4 expires, whichever is sooner. If a student wants to extend their stay to complete their studies on an affected course, they must do so at an institution that holds a Highly Trusted sponsor licence.
More information is available in the sections for Tier 4 (General) students and sponsors.

Australia Separates Education from Migration
The federal Labor government has largely decoupled education from migration selection and in the process removed a powerful incentive for foreign students to come to Australia.
A new report says that for vocational education students who enrolled after 8 February, "the carrot of permanent residency" will largely be removed. For new university students, the permanent residency pathway will be far more difficult than it has been.
In part, this is because of the range of eligible occupations will be limited and because a new selection test to be introduced will be much tougher than the existing test.
As a result of the changes to the immigration rules and the rising value of the Australian dollar, applications from foreign students are predicted to fall, with those from China estimated to collapse by up to 50% at some universities. Several vocational colleges have already been forced to close and many more are likely to shut down as the overseas market dries up.
Researchers suggest that many of those affected by the new rules will try to find an employer to sponsor them (for residency). The network of providers, education agents and migration agents that have helped create an enormous expansion in student enrolments "will be out and about looking, on behalf of their clients, for such employers".
But the researchers say few will succeed because applicants must have at least three years full-time experience in the occupation for which they are being sponsored. They claim that for other categories of applicant, unscrupulous employers will take advantage of the students to offer below-award wages and conditions.
